PROGRAM NOTES:

[NOTE: All quotations are by Terence McKenna.]

“I know that I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Tim Leary. He was the pathfinder. He cut the way through the woods. He gave us all permission to be very much the people that we are tonight.”

“Alchemy is really the secret tradition of the redemption of spirit from matter.”

“What ‘psychedelic’ means is getting your mind out in front of you, by whatever means necessary, so that you can relate to it as a thing in the world and then work upon it.”

“Mind conjures miracles out of time.”

“You’ve been told from the cradle that the deck was stacked against you, fall of man, original sin, and so forth and so on. It’s bullshit. It’s absolute bullshit.”

  1. So this was originally posted years ago as “Empowering hope in dark times.” Absolutely one of my all time favorite McKenna talks. I love the fire that’s under his ass this night. Beautiful stuff. Also one of the best short Leary samples: “a round of applause FOR THE VEGETABLES!” **roar** love it, actually makes me tear up with joy every time.

[COMMENT by Lorenzo: Thank You!!! 🙂 . . . I knew that I’d heard it somewhere before. It was here in the salon back in January of 2010 http://www.matrixmasters.net/salon/?p=250 ]

  2. This was a real privilege to produce, not only because of our two Bard icons being together on the same stage, but because we actually raised a substantial amount of money for Botanical Dimensions. It was so successful and we put another one on a year or so later and it did draw 500-600 people but not the nearly 900 people this one did. T

It was a magical night and Tim was phenomenally gracious in the way he passed the baton on to Terence in such a public way with so many of our friends and family. Truly a momentous event in many of our minds.

Lorenzo, in the last podcast you said you couldn’t imagine how an object can be transcendent. I think that quote is quite illuminating.
