Podcast 289 – Robert Anton Wilson “The Lost Studio Session”

Guest speaker: Robert Anton Wilson

[NOTE: All quotations are by Robert Anton Wilson.]
“You know what family values means, that’s hating the same people your grandfather hated.”

“Information intrinsically tends to produce more information, and it breeds faster than rabbits.”

“We never do reach limits. That’s one of the big fallacies of our time, is the idea of limits. There are no limits.”

“We are graduating from being terrestrial mortals to becoming cosmic immortals. We are becoming the gods that we imagined a long time ago. I think that’s where evolution has been pointing.”

“I think we’ve passed over the Abyss. Getting through the Hitler and Stalin eras and Auschwitz and Hiroshima and all those horrors we’ve gone over the Abyss, and now we are graduating into cosmic immortals, as startling as it sounds.”

  1. This is an absolute gem. I’ve listened to zillions of salon posts, so many highs, laughs, thoughts and the like. This talk is heavyweight. Pissed myself laughing on a few occasions, so much information. Wow, mindbender. Lost for words now.

  2. great post Lorenzo. Bob is an unsung hero in our world. His books ‘Prometheus Rising’ and ‘Cosmic Trigger’ are up there with the best. and yes, I can account for hawks and apples and the like appearing in vision once you tune into Bob’s transmissions.

  3. thanx for the RAW post “The Lost Studio Session” — I met him in Des Moines many years ago….miss him…

  4. Great Stuff Lorenzo! All of us conscious people appreciate what you are doing. It’s all about community and awareness.

Bruce is currently in NJ and is planning to attend OWS next week. He wants our help in refining this proposal so the meme will be properly heard and expressed at the center of the revolution. Please help spread the message.

  5. Okay, when I got to the part about the five stages of chaos and Eris, goddess of chaos and the golden apple, I almost choked to death laughing. O Discordia, forevermore, amen. Lol.

  6. Holy Erisian flying lasgna! Just yesterday quite randomly I all of the sudden wanted to watch OJ Simpson’s stuff and the Bronco chase and so I was watching bunch of videos. It was so random. Then today Lorenzo tells us that this Wilson interview was recorded on that day. This is definitely not the first time I experienced some weird synchronicity in connection with Bob Wilson. In fact, the first time I became aware of Wilson was by a very strange coincidence. I was having visions of hawks for a year, then one day I was at Tower Records in Buena Park, California and picked up one of his books, I think it was the Cosmic Trigger. I didn’t know who Bob was at the time, but I opened right on the page where he talked about strange synchronicities concerning Horus the hawk headed god. I think it was shortly after that I had a dream where I saw Isis, Osiris, then Horus in an electric blue book. Shortly after that I became deeply interested in Aleister Crowley and Thelema.
Sorry, had to share some of this. I’m sure many listeners have had infinitely crazier synchronicity experiences. But it’s been a while since I’ve had these kind of fun synchronicities. Fnord.
