9/11 Contradictions: An Open Letter to Congress and the Press
David Ray Griffin shows that the official story about 9/11 is riddled with internal contradictions. Two contradictory statements cannot both be true. These contradictions show, therefore, that individuals and agencies articulating the official story of 9/11 have made many false statements. Congress and the press clearly should ask which of the contradictory statements are false and why they were made.
This book is purely factual, simply laying out the fact that these internal contradictions exist. As such, the book contains no theory. Politicians and journalists who deal with the issues raised herein, therefore, will not be giving credence to some “conspiracy theory” about 9/11. They will simply be carrying out their duty to ask why the official story about 9/11, arguably the most fateful event of our time, is riddled with so many contradictions.
The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: 9/11, the Cover-Up, and the Expose
Griffin has now written The New Pearl Harbor Revisited, which provides a chapter-by-chapter updating of the information provided in that earlier book. It shows that the case against the official account constructed by independent researchers – who now include architects, engineers, physicists, pilots, politicians, and former military officers – is far stronger than it was in 2004, leaving no doubt that 9/11 was a false flag operation, designed to give the Bush-Cheney administration a pretext to attack oil-rich Muslim nations.
The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11
Taking to heart the idea that those who benefit from a crime ought to be investigated, here the eminent theologian David Ray Griffin sifts through the evidence about the attacks of 9/11 – stories from the mainstream press, reports from abroad, the work of other researchers, and the contradictory words of members of the Bush administration themselves – and finds that, taken together, they cast serious doubt on the official story of that tragic day

9/11 and American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out, Vol. 1
Practically from the moment the dust settled in New York and Washington after the attacks of September 11, a movement has grown of survivors, witnesses, and skeptics who have never quite been able to accept the official story. When theologian David Ray Griffin turned his attention to this topic in his book The New Pearl Harbor (2003), he helped give voice to a disquieting rumble of critiques and questions from many Americans and people around the world about the events of that day. Were the military and the FAA really that incompetent? Were our intelligence-gathering agencies really in the dark about such a possibility? In short, how could so much go wrong at once, in the world’s strongest and most technologically sophisticated country?
Both the government and the mainstream media have since tried to portray the 9/11 truth movement as led by people who can be dismissed as “conspiracy theorists” able to find an outlet for their ideas only on the internet. This volume, with essays by intellectuals from Europe and North America, shows this caricature to be untrue. Coming from different intellectual disciplines as well as from different parts of the world, these authors are united in the conviction that the official story about 9/11 is a huge deception manufactured to extend imperial control at home and abroad.
Contributors include Richard Falk, Daniele Ganser, David Ray Griffin, Steven E. Jones, Karin Kwiatkowski, John McMurtry, Peter Phillips, Morgan Reynolds, Kevin Ryan, Peter Dale Scott, Ola Tunander.

The number of things I could go into here seems almost overwhelming, so let me start off slowly 🙂
This is regarding the comment made towards the end of the podcast by Lorenzo, about a fellow who has spent quite a bit of time listening to Terence Mckenna –
About six months ago, I was discussing the “crisis in conciousness” our world is experiencing with a friend, and was given a link to a Terence McKenna lecture on this very site. At that time, I had no knowledge of, well … pretty much any of the the speakers that one would become aware of through tuning in to the Psychadelic Salon.
Since that time, I too have listened to just about every recording of Terence that I was able to find online – Some perhaps 20 or 30 times. I’ve listened to every podcast on this site, and branched out from here to find all I could of from the other speakers that resonated with me, which have been, unsuprisingly to me now, most of them 🙂
To me, absorbing these types of thoughts and ideas has become as equally important to my mental health as eating is to my physical body. Each time I venture outside and consider the world around me, I am reminded of this.
The state of affairs we find ourselves in is truly as critical as the voice in _all of us_ suggests. Can anyone here honestly say that they didn’t feel this exemplified by the recent election in the united states? The proverbial writing on the wall was literally everywhere – “HOPE” – and what that signifies about what is going on inside of us goes far beyond the scope of the election. To see so many become awakened and empassioned by it was a very powerful thing…
This brings me to another thing that Lorenzo put out there at the end of the podcast about the hard swallow that comes along with the consideration that very fundamental things at the core of ones beliefs may be, well … wrong.
In search for the truth, this is key, and I feel like the “swallow” would be easier for most if one simply considered where those fundamental things originated. Was the source from which they came unswayed by the mistruths of their time? If you stand back and look at the picture from as far as you can, you’ll find that there is no one to blame for these things but those who
have and continue to seek to blind us. It seems to me that empowering ones self to consider such things should be without any sense of shame. If it is sadness and/or disappointment that is feared … To me, this is all about intention, and the purity indicated by being willing to “go there” is more positive than I can tell you.
So! I’ll cut myself off there for the moment 🙂 … Lorenzo, I always have a bit of a giggle whenever you apologize for “going off on a rant” – Your two cents are quite often priceless.
Much love,
Mike

Great episode Lorenzo!
Sadly I must confess that I am under-informed when it comes to politics. I too rather spend my time on more enjoyable topics. However when it comes to Obama winning the election it is apparent that this sense of “We Won!” is not based on any evidence that the drug war will become more sane and humane. Its based on the same media brain washing & conditioning that we have had all along. A new face (no matter the color) does not make him any different then the old one. Also the candidate screaming the loudest about change, does not mean he has the ability or desire to make it occur at all. Let alone create change in our communities favor.
Just because Obama is not a white republican does not make him like us. He may not even like us at all. He is an Ivy league professor who described his past drug use as his greatest moral failure. Not to mention anyone who can raise that kind of money in the name of politics, owes something to a few contributors. Regardless. This is all bigger then a President. The real control resides in the machinery that drives our culture and this is the same machinery that controlled Bush and every presidency I can recollect.
I did vote for Obama because he seemed more genuine then McCain. What we needed was some Maybe Logic. Not Black vs White. Male vs Female. However in our yes or no culture, our present situation makes Obama the man by default. Simply because he is the most different then the previous alpha male.
Even if he is hiring the worst of the drug war crusaders. I do have a few hopes for him.
1. He has young children. Perhaps this will influence him to think further into the future then the next 3 years aka the next campaign.
2. The country is bankrupt. If he does cut spending. Reducing the funding for war on drugs just makes sense financially.
3. He does not appear to be a Warmonger. More world peace is always an improvement.
Back the more enjoyable topics. In regards to the person seeking more Mp3’s. I do have plenty of links to download digital audio files on EROCx1 Also I have a page dedicated to Terence McKenna media that can be found HERE
BTW, thanks for mentioning my BLOG. I really appreciate all your support Lorenzo! It means a great deal to me.

Maybe I am just a fool, but I’ve looked into and considered the 9/11 Government conspiracy theories and I am not buying them. As evil as I think Bush is, I don’t think he would be that stupid. Someone would find this out. You can’t pay off everyone. I also don’t think that Bush, even if he were a complete jackass, would kill off the wife of his solicitor general – who was a popular conservative activist. Also, I tend to think that government employees are pretty well worthless and wouldn’t want to work this hard to put together a conspiracy like this. And what has he gained? Two losing wars. And things are now so bad that we have elected a liberal black man named Barrack Hussein Obama. If you told me on 9/12/01 that in 2008 we would elect someone with that name I would say that you were crazy.
It doesn’t make sense that this is a government conspiracy.
The arabs attacked us. They attacked us because we are on their holy land. We should get away from their holy land. If a Muslim army were in Italy near the Vatican you would expect the Christian world to react.

Indispensable as ever Lorenzo. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
I didn’t want to believe that 9/11 was quite possibly a crime of enormous magnitude, but the ever-growing circumstantial – and not so circumstantial evidence won’t be ignored. At the very least, it should compel a large portion of our society to WAKE UP! SOMETHING’S NOT RIGHT!
I also believe that Robert is correct in that Tim Leary probably knew very well that our country desperately needed memes such as “Think for yourself and question authority” and “Turn on, Tune in, and Drop out” (…of your acculturated/indoctrinated thinking). He had his flaws – as we all do – but perhaps this shall be his saving grace.
American Fascism is here. It’s just not exactly what you think it is:

Terence had the ‘big picture’ – I just hope that we can all get a better glimpse of it before it’s too late.

dogofthecourt, let me point out that you give a clear example of how one’s prejudices can interfere with a true perception of reality. the question is not how imaginative you are. the question is how did those buildings fall down? david griffin gives a great lecture on this, you can find it somewhere, on nationalistic faith. you will have an easier time understanding it if you put aside your preconceived ideas. just because it is more psychologically convenient for you to believe that Arabs attacked us, even though it should be plainly obvious the evidence against “Arabs” is manufactured, doesn’t make it so-unless you happen to be the New York Times, or the 9/11 Commission. the “arabs” passports surviving the world trade center collapse? come on dude!
i watched with glee while your kings and queens
fought for ten decades for the gods they made
i shouted out “who killed the kennedys?”
when after all it was you and me…

This was a very important show. I’ve lived with the reality of the 9/11 conspiracy for over 3 years. As time passed, I began to find myself more and more alienated from the psychedelic community. Are we committed to full, awakened consciousness and TRUTH, or are we bliss-bunnies hopping from experience to experience? If our failure to acknowledge essential realities suggests the later, how are we any better than the flag-waving, Christard jingoists on the far right? In both cases, it’s a manufactured reality that puts our fellow humans in danger. The New World Order must become a part of our lexicon, and we must use the specific, special tools available to us to fight them.
And Kudos to Forte for bringing up the Zigniew Brzezinski connection to Obama. All presidents are puppets. This was the first year that I haven’t voted because I now fully accept this. Elections are one of the greatest control mechanisms ever devised. We must reject the structures offered to us by our controllers. I highly recommend Derrick Jensen’s Book, Endgame 2: Resistance for an examination of what REAL opposition to this destructive culture looks like.
“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. ” – Frederick Douglass
