A good thing about this story is its complexity. It includes the conflicts and contradictions. In at least one of the previous stories it seemed like the characters all agreed with each other about everything.
I especially like the comparison of male drive–to throw oneself into a quest whatever the cost- with a female’s ability to bring new life into existence. Doubtless some will argue but I think there is some validity to it.
